Hodge Road Music Department offers a creative, interactive, and integrated music program for grades k-5
Music Objectives k-5
v Students will sing alone, and with others a varied repertoire of music
v Students will play on instruments alone and with others a varied repertoire of music
v Students will improvise melodies, variations and accompaniments
v Students will compose and arrange music with specific guidelines
v Students will read and notate music
v Students will listen to, analyze and describe music
v Students will understand the relationship between music, other arts, and content areas outside the arts
v Students will understand music in relation to history and culture
We also provide a technology connection to music by accessing blackboard. This site can be informative for parents and students. You will need to know your child’s NC wise number to log on. Contact the music department if you need your child’s number.
